Ryanair crash

Last week a blogger published that he had found a free trip with Ryan Air and posted this. Soon some comments came in from a synonym called Ryanair Staff #1 with the headline ”jason! you’re an idiot and a liar!!” and a long piece about that he was wrong. Jason responded politly, but stated that he had found the system error. Then Ryanair Staff #2 gets involved in the discussion and explains what he could do with Jasons blog and that he doesn’t know anything about blogs. This is spread like wildfire on blogs right now discussing about the Ryanair staffs missmanners. It looked like a potential PR-catastrophe for the company until Ryanairs head of communications Stephen Macnamara made a statement yesterday;

“Ryanair can confirm that a Ryanair staff member did engage in a blog discussion. It is Ryanair policy not to waste time and energy corresponding with idiot bloggers and Ryanair can confirm that it won’t be happening again. Lunatic bloggers can have the blog sphere all to themselves as our people are far too busy driving down the cost of air travel”.

Casemovies

There is an epidemic growing at Berghs right now, everyone wants to present with casemovies. I talked about it with a friend from Art Direction and she said that last year no one pitched with casemovies. This must be the interactives fault.

Robin Westergren another art director student has a blog about sweet casemovies. David Droga for president!

Be the Honda Fit or a Fuelivore in this science-fiction experience brought to life throught addictive games and a world that unfolds as a vibrant graphic novel.

Campaignsites for cars has always been about braging about the best graphics and 3D models. Now Honda turns up with this game. Good story combined with really great graphics.

Viral effect
I like advertising that isn’t so selling. In this campaign point is to be with the brand and the new car instead of yelling, buy buy buy. And of course have they thinked about the viral effect, but not only thru the traditional “Share with friends”, you can download a huge amount of stuffs as you can see of the picture to the right.

Ever wanted to buy Ray-Bans online? Try them on at home too!

To be honest I have never really been that amazed about any augmented reality stuff I’ve seen so far. But this is something that seem to connect everything. The only thing that does “fuck it up” is the limitiation to Windows. Otherwise, smart move Ray-Ban.

Go http://www.ray-ban.com/USA/ and click ‘Features’ -> ‘Virtual Mirror’.
